Zoo

During Alan's Spring break we also took a trip to the Zoo to enjoy the animals and the sun. Peter really liked the penguins because I think he could actually see them since they were so close. Notice the penguin swimming in the water right in front of Peter, he did not really know what to make of them but he thought they were cool. Even when this penguin below decided that he worked for Sea World and that he would do some tricks and sent a wall of water shooting at us! I thought it would scare Peter but he seemed to be ok with a face full of fish water!
We then went to the butterfly house which was nice and warm and smelled like sugar! Peter was actually able to see and track of few of the butterflies as you can see the one in front of him below. This is my new favorite exhibit, it is so beautiful and it is so cool to be surrounded by tons of butterflies flitting about.And here he is at the end of the day, all tired out and ready for a bath-he needed one especially since he still smelled like penguin fish water!

Spring is in the Air

Spring is coming I can just feel it! We decided to take advantage of our free pass to the Botanical Gardens a few weeks ago during Alan's "Spring Break" and even though nothing outside was in bloom, was pleasantly rewarded with some indoor exhibits-our favorite being the Orchid Show. It was AMAZING, my pictures do not do it justice. There were orchids everywhere, some of them fragrant which infused the room with a wonderful Hawaiian-esk fragrance. We could have stayed there for hours..

Happy Half Birthday!

Can you believe it? I sure cant't but Peter turned 6 months old last week! How time flies!! He is such a silly little man that he keeps me laughing everyday. I think that I have taken too many pictures of him because everytime I pull it out to catch something funny, he stops and stares at the camera. In this video he kept trying to eat his toes by throwing himself forward but stopped when I started filming, but I got some good laughs out of him anyway!

Our house is on the corner so we have quite a few cars that drive by, and Peter loves watching them. It is too cute and he gets so excited! He sat for half an hour on this particular occasion!

Sunny Days

We have had the best weather this week and Peter and I have tried to take advantage of it. The middle of the week has been in the 70's and sunny, I know it is a total trick by mother nature to get our hopes up for Spring but I will take it when we get it! Peter has absolutely loved it, he loves sitting in his stroller as I walk the park and just absorbing all the new sites and sounds. The second day we went out he got so excited the minute I put him in his stroller and he just grinned and sang to himself. It was too cute.

Yes, these were taken with my phone so they are not the best-I will be good mommy and remember my camera next time!
