End of March

Another day outside in our unusually warm weather.

Two of my really good friends came to visit and we hit up the church sites.  Peter and Isaac loved the little wagon and log cabin at the visitor's center.  And I had a proud mommy moment when we went to Liberty Jail and he recognized the prophet Joseph as he carried around his little Book of Mormon and talking about all the pictures that he saw.

This is right before he took a face plant into the wood chips, but he sure had fun!
Boys will be boys...and my two are no different!  They play hard, fight hard and love hard.   Thankfully this particular time giggles didn't turn to tears.

We had this crazy stick bush in our yard when we moved here and this is what it turned into!  It was so pretty and fragrent, but boy did it attract some huge bees.  Peter went over one day and started shaking the branches and you could hear the buzzing from the other side of the yard.  Luckily dad was close by to save him from disaster!

Easter

We had a fun Easter this year.  It is fun that Peter is starting to understand holidays and get excited.  He was thrilled to get a new outfit for church and especially his new tie.  I think he liked that just as much as the candy!  I failed to get a photo in their church attire, but they were handsome.

I tried to find some candy alternatives and found these cute little wind up chicks, Isaac thought they were hilarious!

After church and naps we headed to my cousins house for dinner and the egg hunt.

They have a big back yard so there was lots of room to hunt and the kiddos had a great time.

Here are their ties at least. Poor Isaac, he was crabby all day which is totally unlike him.  He is such a happy little guy normally.  We went to the doctor on Monday and found out they both had hand and foot so they looked like little lepers for a few days.  If they would only stop trying to eat dirt and put everything in their mouth.....

Visit from Aunt Sarah

At the beginning of March we had a visit from Auntie Sarah.  The boys were thrilled to have someone to play with them all the time and it was nice to have someone to go shopping with me!  One of the days we hit up the zoo which is always fun and the weather cooperated and was beautiful!

This little bird was really funny, it keep trying to peck at the kids fingers like they were little worm snacks and the kiddos thought it was so funny.  Good thing the glass was there or there might have been some tears!
We bought a zoo membership so we get to ride the train for free which Peter is SO excited about.  I think he could just spend the day riding the train.
While Sarah was here we had some cooking lessons and just look at that beautiful bread she made all by herself!
Playing at the park, Isaac thinks it is so funny to swing and watch people go by.  His little laugh is infectious.
Peter working on his rock climbing skills.
Issac loves to wear glasses, and mommies are a favorite.
Thanks for coming to visit Sarah, it was so much fun!  And thank Elijah for letting us steal her for a week!
