She's here!

So our little baby girl decided to surprise us a bit and arrived on July 15th, about 2 weeks before we were expecting her!  As far as my labors go, this one was by far the least stressful.  My water broke around 2:30 am and since my sister was visiting with us we were able to leave right away and make it to the hospital quickly.  And thanks to the fact we delivered at Alan's hospital we were in very quickly and in a room by 3:00.  I decided to get an epidural this time for various reasons once that kicked in I think I was in less discomfort than I had been in the past few months!  :)  Naomi Elizabeth was born at 6:18am, perfectly healthy, happy and hungry!

 She weighed in at 7 pounds 11.6 ozs and 20 inches long.  (Right in there with her brothers)

 Her brothers were very excited to see her and we have been trying for the last week to keep them from loving her to pieces...literally!  They are trying so hard to be sweet and gentle with her.  It just doesn't always appear that way.

Peter was too cute, I think we was more excited to see her than me.  He asked us if we could keep her forever...and I said that is the plan!  He has also asked if he can marry her...any advice on how to explain that one to a 3 year old?

 

 They also enjoyed watching some cartoons in mommy's fun bed.

Naomi's Aunt Leslie who also shares her birthday.  Sorry I didn't get to make you a cake, but I think producing a niece is a pretty cool present!  Thanks for your help!

September 2012-Am I seriously almost a year behind??

We had a lot of Fall fun this last year due to some fabulous weather.  Some of the things that happened during the rest of September....

Isaac got to paint for the first time and show off his first, although I am sure it will not be his last, black eye.  Alan kept telling everyone that "Mommy has a temper..." but the real story is that he gave it to himself!  Boys will be boys I guess.  He also had fun playing with Jaida, a little girl from our ward who I started watching this fall.  They became quite the little buddies.

We also made some trips to the zoo to feed the birds, if a little reluctantly!


We also got a season pass to this little pumpkin patch nearby that the boys just loved.  It had pumpkins everywhere, a little petting zoo, and all kinds of fun things to play on and explore.  We went practically every week.

 

 We took Alan for FHE one night and we had pumpkin doughnuts, made our very own scarecrow and bought some fun pumpkins and gourds to display on our porch for the fall.  The boys were so excited about the scarecrow.  Peter would go out and talk to him for weeks after we put him up, and sometimes he would even leave little presents in his pockets.

 

Monkey Number 3

As I mentioned in the last post, we are expecting our third little monkey...and to our surprise, she's a girl who we are going to name Naomi!  I am due the 28th of July so I am hoping for a much cooler summer this year :)  Things are progressing well, she is an active little monkey who seems to be growing right on schedule...which means I am getter bigger everyday, legs are starting to swell and cramp and I bump into everything and always end up with something on my belly by the end of the day!  The joys of pregnancy.  The boys are excited for a new sister.  Isaac is really excited to now be a BIG brother and loves to check in on her by trying to look into my belly button and takes care to cover her up with his blanket when we lay down for naps :)  Peter is taking it in stride, he is going to be my big helper I think.  He asked me the other day if he could hold "baby sister Naomi" when she comes to live with us.  I said of course.  He then asked Can I throw her up in the air?  To which I replied absolutely not! lol He then says but mom, I will catch her I promise.  I am sure you will try I replied but let's leave the throwing to balls....If she survives her brothers she is going to be one tough cookie!

Isaac turns 2!!

So I have been a super slacker lately and just can't seem to find the time or energy to get on here and blog, But to my credit, the month of December we all traded off being sick and then with being pregnant I had no energy the first trimester at all.  To top it off Alan was called as the Elder's Quorum President and then a few months later into the Bishopric so we have all been very busy.  I finally feel like I am getting caught back up on life so I thought I would tackle the task of catching up on this! So I probably won't do all the posts in chronological order but at least it is here :)....

 

In February Isaac turned 2! I can't believe it!  He is such a big boy now, physically and socially.  He is so excited to be a big brother and keeps us laughing when we are not pulling out our hair!

 Dad introduced him to spraying whip cream in his mouth :)  Thanks dad...We had a special breakfast for Isaac because that is his favorite meal of the day, and especially pancakes!  He can eat more than me sometimes!

 We decorated some train cakes at our little playgroup to celebrate his birthday.  The kids loved loading up their little trains with icing and sugary treats.
