Some pictures from the rest of the month....

The boys reading to Naomi.  Every morning as soon as she makes a peep, Peter is in her room (even if I don't want him too, because maybe she just has gas and will go back to sleep) saying "good morning sweetie pie" I try to remind myself to be happy he loves her so much, but sometimes tired mommy wins out.  Here they are reading to her.  Such good brothers!

 Valentines Day was fun for the kiddos this year because I think they understand it a little more.  Alan of course was gone before they woke p, so on the table he left their presents.  He got the boys super hero cups and shirts and some suckers (valentines day is hard to shop for boys I have decided) And Naomi got a pink teething ring. And was totally content to chew on one of our suckers!

 Her shirt says "sorry boys, dad says I can't date"...I couldn't resist buying it.

 Issac eating his birthday cupcake at grandma and grandpa mckinneys.  We went for a quick visit and grandma had a pirate theme going for him...he was in heaven!  You can never go wrong with Isaac with chocolate either!

Isaac's Birthday!

Isaac  loves Jake and the Neverland Pirates right now so I was not surprised when he told me he wanted a pirate party.  I was excited to plan it for him because I thought this would be a fun theme and with all the pirate stuff out there I had a really easy time!  I found a great idea on how to make a ship and tried my hand at making "Bucky"  The cake was pretty easy to make and would have been even easier if Isaac hadn't snitched two huge chunks out of hte cake as it was cooling, but it is amazing what a little frosting can fix!  I think it turned out pretty good and Issac was thrilled!

 I made red "jake" headbands, and blue and pink bandana's for "Chubby and Izzy" fans to choose from and they also got little pixie dust pouches to collect treasure in from the treasure chest.

 Issac got some fun new toys from his friends, a sword, a helicopter, a puzzle and a dragon.  He was pretty excited.

Overall the party was relatively easy to do and the kiddos had so much fun!  I was so glad to do something fun for Isaac since his birthday is in February and it was freezing cold outside.

6 months

Naomi turned 6 months in January-which doesn't seem possible...but she did.  It is a good thing I take pictures and write a few notes on here because otherwise I would have not clue what went on in the past 6 months because it just flew by!  At 6 months she weighed in at 21 1/2 pounds and 27 inches...moving her on up to where her brothers are on the 90+ percentile for height and weight!  She learned to grab her toes, which with all those rolls is quiet and accomplishment, and mastered sitting up by herself.  She sleeps for a good 9 hours at night which I am thankful for and she is learning her "d" and "b" sounds and likes to mimic tongue clicking noises.  When she is excited she kicks her legs and pumps her arms and will even turn her feet in circles, which I think is hilarious. She is also a terror on wheels in her walker and will beeline for the garbage as soon as I put her in.

 It only took me 6 months, but I finally got her name finished and hung...:)

I feel like we didn't do much the month of January, maybe because we were detoxing from the holidays, but I think also because it was FREEZING and we had TONS of snow!  Very unusual for this part of the country.  But the boys had fun even if the snow was all powder and too cold to make a snowman....

 

 Peter and I made jellyfish one day, an idea I found on pintrest, that looked way cooler online but he loved it!

 Isaac and Peter went to the scout office one afternoon with daddy and this is what he came back with...pretty sure that is not an official boyscout item for sale there....but that is what happens when you are running in the store and trip and fall against the metal shelves I guess!

 I don't remember exactly what Isaac and Naomi where playing here, I think she was his pirate ship and the red apron was the anchor.  Naomi loved being pulled around by her brother especially if she got to chew on the strings.  When the boys play gentle with their sister, it gives me hope! :)

Cousins

While we were at my parents we the kiddos had fun playing with their cousins!  every time we get together with cousins I always think of Christmas/New Year's  and summers spent playing with my cousins.  I am glad we have cousins on both sides that we can visit with even if it is not as often as we would like.

It is so nice to also have cousins around the same age, here are Isaac and Melanie playing together one morning before anyone else was up in the house.

Naomi and Jackson had lots of fun, after our visit Naomi totally realized that she could in fact reach her toes just like her cousin.

I think all grandparents should have huge bathtubs to play in, I remember "playing" (I am sure we were supposed to be bathing) in my grandpa's tub. 

Just before my parents 30th Anniversary party, they had so much fun dancing together and generally running a-muck!

We tried to get some pictures of us with the kids, this is as good as we got!

It was a fun evening, and it was good to see my parents celebrating and everyone who was their to show their love and support.
