Playing with Auntie

After 4 great weeks of Alan being on his OB rotation (where he was able to make his own schedule so we actually got to see him) he has now started his CT rotation which is the one notorious for long hours. And it has lived up to it's reputation but thankfully this last week my sister Amy stayed with us while my parents were out of town so that she could go to Youth Conference. Here is a little video of the fun things that we did while she was here. Peter LOVED the extra attention and it was so helpful for me to have an extra pair of hands around to help. I don't know what I am going to do over the next three weeks!

Strawberry Jam

We went to pick strawberries at the beginning of the week and are now the proud owners of 20 jars of jam and I still have some strawberry puree in the freezer that I think I will attempt to make fruit leather out of. I didn't get pictures of the berries or the jam, but I did get a few shots of our "big helper."

He was supposed to be picking up the lids with the little magnet stick because he was banished from stirring because he kept trying to either eat it or dump whatever he could get his hands on into the jam...like salt and pepper for instance, but as you can see somehow the bowl with the lids ended up on his head!

I have determined that all my boys are flirts...which they definitely did NOT get from their mother, I know, shocker there! But it never ceases to amaze me how early they begin this. Isaac is already mastering the heart melting smile and winning eyebrow action.

Isaac is also becoming quite the conversationalist...well to his hands usually, but he can carry on a conversation with those fingers for half an hour!

Jump, Jump, Jump

Here is Peter's latest skill-jumping. He has been working on this for a few months and he can actually get himself off the ground. I love it, it is so cute and he is so proud of himself. But the best part is that he expends SO much energy doing it!
