I have wanted to make a quiet book for Peter since we lived in Texas. Our good friends had one for their little girl that she would sit quietly during sacrament and play with. Up until recently I have not had the time but since I quit working completely I have a few extra hours a day to utilize. I quickly realized that this was going to be a big task because after letting Peter play with the first page I had finished it became apparent that glue was not going to cut it with my active don't know my own strength little boy. So I borrowed my mom's sewing machine and after a few weeks of battle between the machine, felt and myself I am almost done. I had to reinforce everything and hand sew a lot but it is finally coming along and I am hoping that the book will at least make it to the next kiddo.
I did use this great blog which I have posted on the side of our blog to help with ideas and patterns.

That looks gooooood. My quiet book has turned into a fuzzy joke. The sewing is the perfect way to go. If I ever have the energy to try it again, that's the way I'll do it so it will last through more than one kid. Felt glue does not work well, AND it turns the white a gross yellow...which makes it look like the kid spit up on it. Gross.
If a felt book can be beautiful, yours is headed that way.
Peter has such a great mom!
I ahve always wanted to make one but never got that far. Your looks so great! I love it!
