I apologize for the lateness of this post, but Peter and I have been trading off colds the past couple of weeks and well to be honest I have been too tired! We had a very low key Thanksgiving this year. Alan had Thanksgiving day and the day after off of school and with his crazy hectic schedule we decided to stay home and have some family time together which was perfect. I can't remember the last time we just got to spend leisure time together. Peter was in heaven. He was in total daddy withdrawal yesterday and I can't even count how many times he has asked me where daddy is today.
As I was cooking for Thanksgiving dinner, I walked outside to take the garbage out and this is what greeted me...snow! I can't remember the last time we had snow in November! It made for a chilly day but we where all warm and toasty inside and we ate ourselves silly with all kinds of yummy goodies. I love cooking for Thanksgiving! Most of the week this is how you could find Peter accessorized. I have always tried to have him wear a tie to church so he gets used to it and I don't have to fight that battle later and lately he has been very excited to put on his tie, especially since he put two and two together and realized that dad wears one to church as well. So if Alan leaves a tie around Peter insists on wearing it. I think it is totally adorable, and he is pleased as punch with himself.
This particular day he would not take it off, so we wore it everywhere and well no outfit is complete without Lightening McQueen sunglasses.

I love the tie thing. When Kevin and I taught primary parents would send their boys to church in a polo t-shirt and khaki shorts. REALLY?! I love your idea and if I ever have a boy I'm doing that too.
I'm thankful you had a comfortable and sweetly quiet Thanksgiving together. You deserved it. I'll bet you had all kinds of good stuff you made. You would have been proud of my double chocolate cheesecake. I had never made anything like that before. For. the. love. Yum.
(Pssst. I'm one of those parents who sends her boy to church in a polo shirt and khaki shorts sometimes.I looked hard for a tie; I swear I did. I'm sure I'll be able to find them for Christmas...)
Those are really cute tie pictures. I love that he associates it with his dad.
Peter wearing a tie everywhere just goes to show he is the most stylin little boy around! But really how can he not be with you as his mother! We did Thanksgiving with Naithan and Jess this year at their place. It was nice just to spend it with close family and to be relaxed all day. Brad and Elijah had a lot of fun playing super mario together.
I so love the tie. Abbie was our big tie wearer.
