(If you look close you can barely see what is left of his black eye that he got while not paying attention on the playground one afternoon with Gpa Jensen. It was quite the shiner and I am sure will be the first of many!)Peter turned one and a half on Saturday and is officially heading towards being two years old! Although most days you would think he is already there, or at least he does anyway! I can't believe how big my little boy is and I am still amazed everyday that he was ever the size of Isaac. He is such a joyful boy with a voracious curiosity who loves to make you laugh. So I don't forget here are Peter's current accomplishments.
- Peter currently weighs in at 30 pounds and is 34 1/2 inches tall (think middle linebacker)
- Peter has 11 teeth and is working on number 12
- Much to his parents dismay Peter has recently learned to climb into his highchair, the kitchen chairs and up onto his changing table-I am waiting to find him on the kitchen cabinets...
- Peter is a very social little boy and loves nursery and play group, he loves to get out of the house and play.
- Peter is also quite the talker-we are at the point where we have to be very careful what we say around him because he understands everything and often repeats what we say. (I count this as a huge blessing since I think I would go crazy with a new baby and a toddler that I could not communicate with.)
- Peter can also count to 13 and knows most all of his colors and recognizes some of the alphabet.
- Some of Peter's favorite things right now are the moon, ties, balloons, balls, running, sticking his finger in Issac's eyes or mouth, singing songs, being outside, swimming, Elmo and cookie monster, eating and building with his blocks.
