Chipotle was having a festival one Saturday and we had a fun time exploring and tasting yummy food! They had a great kids section and the boys made these shirts! And, we ended up with lots of free chipotle coupons which was so worth braving the heat!
The last week of July the kiddos and I headed to Nauvoo. My parents and two youngest sisters were in the pageant so we met up with Sarah and spent a few days. The first day was ridiculously hot and humid but the kids had fun! Here we are at the Webb Blacksmith shop getting our prairie "diamonds".
Here comes the Ox Cart...something I have never done in all the times I have been! And boy do they move "oh so slow" but interesting fact is that they digest their food different than horses so they are better for treking across the prairie.

They have this little are set up like a small village for the kids to play in. Dress up clothes, kitchen stuff, games and all kinds of fun pioneer things to play with. We spent over an hour here because the kiddos were having such a good time. This yoke with the water buckets was Peter's favorite, he carried it everywhere!
Isaac was all about herding and roping the animals! He was quite protective of his flock!

Learning to walk on stilts is hard work, but way more fun with an auntie to help you!

The crew. It was nice to see Amanda and her family for half the day. We had so much fun watching everyone perform. Months later Naomi will still raise her little hand up and tap her feet if she hears bagpipe music!
