Visiting Grandpa Jensen

We made the forever long trip out to Idaho this May to visit grandpa Jensen.  Two days in the car with 3 kiddos sounded like torture, but all things considered they did awesome!  And thanks to Pintrest for lots of good ideas for traveling activities.
The weather was still pretty chilly but we took advantage of every sunny moment we could to be outside.  Here's one happy girl in the swing.

and three happy boys on the trampoline...they had a lot of fun jumping with daddy and getting bounced to bits, they even slept out on the tramp one night with him.  Way too cold for my liking and I thought for sure we would end up with someone coming back in in the middle of the night, but they didn't.  I was impressed!

One afternoon we headed to Pocatello to the Natural Science Museum to check out their prehistoric shark exhibit, but we missed it by one day.  But they had lots of fun fossils of different things and a fun little play and explore area for the kiddos.
Alan wanted a picture of this horse found on North America...who says they only came from Europe??

We did lots of other fun things like hiking up in the mountains through the snow, going swimming with cousins, watching a movie, cooking dinner in the dutch ovens, going hiking some more without mom, going to a soccer game, taking Alan out to breakfast for his birthday, walking along the river and just hanging out with Grandpa.  But of course I did not get any pictures of those, but I did at least get one with grandpa :)
It was a super fun visit, nice and relaxing and the kiddos had so much fun with their grandpa!  They are already talking about going back.

On the way home we stopped at this geyser, but we missed it going off...maybe another time we will have to hit up Yellowstone.
